2009  Schedule

 

April 20, 2009  from 6:30-9:30pm.   This seminar will introduce consumers to Elder Law and Estate Planning, including planning documents and techniques for Asset Preservation when faced with Long Term Care Needs.  The seminar is sponsored through the West Babylon Adult Education Department.  The program collects a $10 nominal fee; Mr. Kass waived his fee participation so all monies may be used for the school district.  Registration is through the West Babylon Adult Education Department at 631-321-3005 ext 400 where "The Need for Education Never Ends".

April 22, 2009 from 7:30pm-9:30pm.   Mr. Kass will present to DontMoveAway, Inc. at the Wheatley High School as to benefits and programs to help seniors and those with disabilities remain in their home instead of seeking residency and care elsewhere.  DontMoveAway, Inc. is a grassroots organization of people concerned with the loss of friends and families from Long Island due to perceived inability to obtain benefits and care.

May 5, 2009 from 8:30am-12:20pm.  Mr. Kass was selected to speak at the New York State Bar Association's Basic Elder Law Practice practice skills seminar at the Huntington Hilton.  Registration is through the Bar Association at www.nysba.org; fee applies and payable to the NYS Bar Association.

May 5, 2009 from 1:30pm-4:30pm.   Mr. Kass was selected by the National Business Institute to present to attorneys, accountants and other professionals on the topic of "Probate Practice: Ethics and Intestacy".  The seminar was designed by NBI, which charges a fee to attendees.  Continuing Education Credit is provided.  For more information or to register, call  NBI at 800-930-6182.

July 13, 2009 at 4:30pm.   Mr. Kass will present a seminar for the Doubleday Babcock Senior Center in Oyster Bay.  The program is entitled "Elder Law and Caring for the Caregiver".

October 26, 2009  from 6:30-9:30pm.   This seminar will focus on Special Needs Planning, and is geared to introduce persons with special needs and their loved ones as to governmental entitlements, the use of Advance Directives, Guardianships and intergenerational planning.  The seminar is sponsored through the West Babylon Adult Education Department.  The program collects a $10 nominal fee; Mr. Kass waived his fee participation so all monies may be used for the school district.  Registration is through the West Babylon Adult Education Department at 631-321-3005 ext 400 where "The Need for Education Never Ends".

November 9, 2009 from 8:30am-4:30pm.   Mr. Kass was selected by the National Business Institute to present to attorneys, accountants and other professionals on the topic of "Drafting Effective Wills and Trusts".  The seminar was designed by NBI, which charges a fee to attendees.  Continuing Education Credit is provided.  For more information or to register, call  NBI at 800-930-6182.
